Introduction
First of all, this book is NOT a book about random things. This book is based on a man’s experience during an apocalypse. This man´s name is David Skidmore Stone. You will be witnessing his struggles, his up and downsides and his experience during the destruction of the Z-virus.
First off, my name is David, David Stone.A regular 28-year-old male. You know, blonde hair cut short. I am 5ft 11in tall and 158 Pounds, blue colored eyes. I´m a sort of muscular guy but not ripped.I remember how my life was before that damned z-virus… my wife, my kids… Max my faithful German Shepherd. All lost to the undead. It kind of creeps me out seeing a walker, (That's what I call the Zombies) growling and moaning and hobbling along, a body without a soul, a literal walking corpse.Darkened skin, Unnatural, and unnerving. I was 19 when the z-virus reared its ugly face to the world. It took my family away from me. So now I live day to day knowing that I can't get my family back.
Chapter One There is no going back
Month: July Day: 62 Year: 2017 Time: 06:00AM Wake up 06:00AM Get dressed 06:02AM Check Barricades 06:08AM Check Ammo Supply 06:15AM Eat small rations 06:20AM
This is my daily schedule ever since the start of the chaos. Walkers were not a thing at the time. Back then when the virus was starting to appear in victims the symptoms were Bizarre. Here is the Newspaper about it:
Flu-like symptoms with high fever, plus severe dementia in later stages. Coma onset approximately 20 hours after first symptoms appears and 12 hours after noticeable dementia. Coma onset will be considered the onset of death. A period of Sporadic Cellular Necrosis(Necrosis is a form of cell injury which results in the premature death of cells in living tissue by autolysis.) occurs which comes to resemble gangrene. Surviving tissue assumes its original function and is highly resilient. Red blood cells greatly increase oxygen storage capacity, resulting in slower blood flow and increased muscle endurance and strength. Nervous and muscular systems are unaffected by total organ failure for several hours. Metabolism may decrease to extremely low levels, allowing subject to survive for over 10 years without nutrition. High blood viscosity results in negligible blood flow from gunshot, puncture, and slashing injuries. Conditioned behavior, motor controls, and instinctive behavioral mechanisms are damaged, and cognitive abilities are severely weakened and erratic. Animals experience excessive brain necrosis and are inactive. The subject can adapt to its damaged nervous systems but is limited to basic physical activities, including standing up, balancing on two legs, walking, biting, pushing, pulling, getting back up when knocked to the ground, stalking, moaning, grabbing, and crawling. The subject will energetically move towards sights, sounds, and smells it associates with living humans. The subject will attempt to ingest living humans if physical contact is made.
I have seen this happen to my wife Alicia, and Max. Alicia had a Bite mark on her leg. It didn't seem like it would hurt her, just a little bit of blood.then she started to complain a lot about the bite, So I asked her how she got the bite on her leg.She told me that it was nothing that Max bit her leg earlier, The bite mark didn't seem like a dog bite more like...a human. But I didn't pressure her anymore about it. Chapter 2 They are Coming Day 66 running out of food. Month: July Day: 63 Year: 2017 Time 06:30
Damn, I overslept that’s gonna mess up my schedule. I haven't overslept for the past 35 days. Ok, let see here where did I put my clothes a here there are now where did I put my spas 12, Shit did I leave it outside again? Yes, I did. Ok, let's start the routine. The ammo supply is looking good.Barricades are sturdy. Now time to eat something for breakfast.I'm gonna go to the kitchen for a second and grab something to eat.Go up the stairs...take a left...walk straight...ah here we go, the kitchen. Now what to eat, I´ll have to go through the cabinets... ...Pork N Beans...nah,Spaghettios...no.Hmmmm....ah! Ravioli! Perfect. Good thing that the can is E-Z-open I'll just pop this off...*pop* there. Man Ravioli is soooooo good. I can't think of anything better microwaved is THE GOD OF ALL FOOD. Anyways, I'm gonna eat so be back…
2 minutes later…
Okay...so let's see...I guess I'll go back outside and check if I can see any walkers...Hmm...ah here we go. I see one, about 30 Yards away okay I can feel myself smiling I'm gonna walk right up to the Walker because I'm not afraid of them. 20 yards...10 yards...15 feet… the figure is slumped over… holding its stomach…I raise my gun. Aiming… wait...Walkers don't hold their stomachs.*Gasp* It's another human…Maybe they are here to help me...wait, How do I know that the person isn't infected? I have to approach with caution. Stay alert. The figure looks up, making eye contact with me. The eyes aren't darkened. They actually have life in them. I go to move toward the person...but it falls face first on the ground. I freeze. But like I said Stay cautious.*inhale* *Exhale* Okay let's do this. Only one thing went through my mind: “What the fuck?”
Chapter 3 A New Encounter
Remember earlier when I said that I wasn’t scared? Well, screw that. I haven’t felt this scared in two years. But now that there is a body in front of me that has a possibility of not being infected, well, I’m pretty much about to hurl. Well...here goes nothing. With my smile faded, I squat down and start to slowly approach the figure lying on the ground. There are only 12 feet between me and whatever I see. The figure is just standing there holding their stomach. I am possibly about to make the biggest mistake of my life, calling out to the figure. ¨hey, are you al-¨ I begin to say, then the body fell over. I stay still. After what felt like an hour of waiting for the body to move, I continue to move towards the…male. Closer...closer...only 5 feet separate me and the body. ¨it´s a guy.¨ I tell myself. As I go to turn the man over I remembered one of the symptoms of zombification. (Remember the newspaper?) Coma onset approximately 20 hours after first symptoms appear.¨ I don't even know this guy's name so a lot of things could be happening to this guy. My heart is beating a mile a minute. I turn him over. His eyes are closed. He is a little unkempt, a little stubble, and REALLY messy hair. Holes in his clothes. *sigh* ¨Let me get you inside.¨
Chapter 4 A Complex Examination
Well, as of now, I have stopped keeping a journal. It’s a bit pointless now to me. I guess I'll have to inspect the guy I found outside. Oh and just in case I haven't told you what my hideout looks like, It is a two-story house, white outside wooden finish on the inside. It is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom. The windows are busted all to hell. Boards on the inside and out, and the oak door. The kitchen is kinda bloody from the walkers coming in my house and trying to fuck with me so I splattered their brains all over the wall the wall was originally white now it's a shade of red. I just left their bodies on the floor. Fuck them. The kitchen is on the second floor packed with food. We should get back to our little visitor. Lying in the middle of the damn floor. Let me do an examination of him. Let me check his neck for bite marks...nope. Arms? …No. What about his legs? No sign of any damage or wounds to be found. I'm gonna have to rip his shirt right as I go to rip the shirt the guy sits up and turns towards me so fast. My reaction was to deck him in the face. ¨w-what in the hell was that for man!?¨ the man screams I draw my gun and point it at his head between the eyes. ¨woah buddy, I don't want to splatter you on the floor so just calm down and tell me your name.¨ ¨I have a gun pointed at my head by a stranger, How in the fuck are you gonna tell me to calm down!!!¨ He screams at me. At this point, I'm about to shoot him. I press the gun to his forehead. ¨okay! Okay! My name is Jason.¨ ¨jason huh?¨ I say to him. ¨Y-Yeah,¨ Jason tells me. ¨Do you have any food? I'm starving.¨ Jason says to me as he holds his stomach. ¨Jason, does this look like a hotel to you?¨ ¨No, it looks more like a hellhole, with blood all over the walls and bodies on the floor.¨ ¨yeah, well if you don't like it, you can get the Hell out of my house. ¨ I lower my gun from his head and wave it at the door. “Listen, man, I didn't mean to offend you about your house. You gotta let me stay man, I got nowhere to go.” Jason pleaded with me “Give me one reason why I should let you stay in my house.” “I told you, man, I got nowhere to go. I don’t wanna turn into one of the men.” Jason says to me” I put my gun in my holster by my side. “Fine, fine, but one fuck up, you're out of here. Understand?” I state to Jason “Thank you man, you're my savior man.” ¨okay, okay, you can stop Praising me, But if you're gonna stay, you have to do what I say.” “I'm not your dog man,” “I saved you, you owe me.” “I’d rather die than listen to you,” Jason tells me while he crosses his arms. I unholster my gun and put it to his chest. “Are you sure? Because I can end you Right now if you want.” “Do it right now, I dare you.” he looks me dead in the eyes. “If you say so.” I lower the gun to his foot and pull the trigger.* BANG* a hole the size of a baseball is blown into his foot. “Holy shit!!!” Jason says in a high pitched squeal. “You shot my foot you BAstard!” “Yeah, i saw that, cause I'm the one with the gun and pulled the trigger.” “Now, will you listen and do what I say?” “Ok, ok I will listen, just please stop the bleeding!” Jason yelled. “Gladly, I don’t want walkers to show up at my house,” I say as I swing my gun at Jason and Knock him out than I got my Knife and cut his foot off and gave him a clean cloth then tied the leg to stop the bleeding. After that, i got another cloth and tied it to the leg to stop the bleeding. By the time that I'm done, My shirt was soaked with blood. And my hands were covered too. I go into the kitchen and wash the blood off of my hands. I then take my shirt off then throw it out the door. it went down the hill. “Good riddance,” I say as I close and lock the door back.
Chapter 5 The recovery
“I can’t see! Only black. Is anyone here?!” I call out in the dark. All of a sudden there is a bright flash of white light. It confuses me. Then the light faded and I'm at me...House. Like before the virus… “Alica!!!” I almost start to cry when standing in front of me is my wife. She turns my way and smiles. “Well hello David, How was work today?” She asks “W-what?” I ask her, then I look down and realize that I'm dressed in a business suit. “I remember this, it all has happened before.” Alicia has a puzzled look on her face. “What do you mean honey?” Alicia asks with concern. “I've already done all of this before.” “Well, yeah, you go to work every day.” She states “No, I mean that I'm feeling some Deja vu.” I try to explain to her the best that I can. Alicia walks to me and kisses me on the cheek. Then puts one hand on each side of my jaw. “David…” Alica calls to me her voice seems so far away now. “Yes?” I respond back to her. “You need to wake up.” She tells me while looking into my eyes. “I don't want to leave you again” I blink. Alicia's face… it seems like its...melting “You need to wake up…” She says again “You need to wake up…You need to wake up…You need to wake up! You need to wake up!!!” Alice starts to scream. Okay... now her face IS starting to melt.her skin on her face is starting to sag, it's like the skin is having a hard time staying on her face. “You need to wake up…” She says again. Her skin is melting off, revealing the muscles underneath. “You need to wake up…” Next, her eyes start to rot inside her eye sockets. “You need to wake up…” Now Maggots start to form where her eyes were. “You need to wake up…Please.” Alica pleads with me. “NOW!!!”
All of a sudden I sit up in my bed...soaked in sweat. “Oh...oh my god” That was the only thing that I could say. I just start to cry. Chapter 6 The unexpected
“Oh...oh my god” That was the only thing that I could say. I just start to cry. Then I walk to the kitchen and got a glass of water. Then I started to walk to the basement door. As I walk towards the door, I hear a noise from the other side. I open the door quickly and saw Jason but something was off about him, it was his foot it was completely healed but how no one can fully heal from that injury. As I walk closer to Jason he noticed me but he just sat there and smiled as he said “so I bet you want an explanation”.“ you bet I do” I said as I reached for the gun and said “what the hell are you” I screamed at Jason. “I’m human just like you, but I have an ability that I am unable to fully control.” I am completely shocked, with my mouth hanging open. Closing my mouth back, I say to Jason “how did you get this ability?” “I know that this may sound crazy, but, it was a zombie bite.” “ What the hell are you talking about, zombie bites are fatal unless you have the antidote. which you don't have. You are flat out crazy.” “Have you seen yourself? You shot me in the foot, and you tell me that I'm crazy.” “You're damn right I'm crazy. I shot you in the foot because you were saying that you weren't gonna do what I said, so I shot you in the foot.” “Issues,” Jason says in a sing-song voice. “Do you want me to shoot it again?” “No, no, please don’t!”Jason cries.
